The Galápagos Islands
From Guayaquil the Galápagos Islands is at
almost one thousand kilometers of the continent and
by airplane at 100 min. With a high degree of endemic
vegetation and fauna it constitutes one of the natural
paradises of the planet, plus its one of the most
desired National Parks of the world. Their fauna and
flora are truely unique. Unendable clear sand beaches,
are part of their surroundings; as well as lava tunnels,
diving zones, a reserved marine area and, by all means,
its prehistoric gorgeous animals and colorful birds.
They have thirteen main islands and its climate is
subtropical.
Quito
Quito
is one of those rare cities where the colonial shades
of downtown are opposed with their actual modern buildings.
A place that keeps the enigmas of a millenarian history,
the magnificent inheritance encounters of two worlds
and the secrets of a crossbreeding culture. It has
the greatest and best conserved historical center
of Latin America, a true museum of 320 hectares.
Because of its physical beauty, traditions, mystical
corners and expresive legends, it is considered a
“Relique of Art in America”. That is why
in November of 1978, it was the first city of the
world in being declared by the UNESCO as “Cultural
Patrimony of the Humanity”.
Cuenca
Cuenca is a city of colonial style, and was also declared
“Cultural Patrimony of the Humanity” by
the UNESCO. In Cuenca, the presence of churches and
buildings of centuries give the city an air of tranquillity
for visitors and residents.
Its zone has a very singular importance for the history
of Ecuador, for being a midpoint between the coast
and amazone area. From our ancestral times, it constitutes
itself as a zone of encounter between cultures, retailers,
and events of religious connotation by the natives
of the zone.
